Land Acknowledgement

Land Acknowledgement

Haliburton Scout Reserve acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 20 Mississauga territory and in the traditional territory of the Mississauga and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which consist of Curve Lake, Rama, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scucog Island, Beausoliel, and Georgina Island First Nations.

The goal of Scouts Canada's vision statement is for us to make a meaningful contribution to creating a better world, and we can do this through truth and reconciliation. We acknowledge the original peoples of this land since time immemorial and their contributions, those who have preserved the land for generations, and all those that have gathered here before us.
