Camp Fee Subsidy

Haliburton Scout Reserve recognizes that some families are not able to fully finance their child's camp fees. The Greater Toronto Scout Foundation (GTSF) and their grant will allow us to support a number of youth to camp at Haliburton Scout Reserve this summer! We thank them for their generosity and support in sending youth to camp!

Eligibility Criteria:

• must be a part of one of the following Scouts Canada councils: 

  • Greater Toronto Council

  • Central Escarpment Council

  • Shining Waters Council

  • White Pine Council

• must be a youth (under 18 years old) camping at Haliburton Scout Reserve in the summer of 2024

How to Apply:

Campers may be fully or partially subsidized for one week of camp. This subsidy covers 25%-100% of the camping fee. It does not cover the additional fees the group determines for food, transportation, etc.

Download the application (below) and email to christopher.bulman@scouts.ca , subject line MUST be "GTSF Subsidy Ask 2024"

The application must be filled out by the parent/guardian of the youth applying for the subsidy. Your Group Commissioner must also sign the application before sending it in. 

*The form can be filled out digitally. Signatures can be added digitally. 

How to Receive Subsidy:

If you have been approved for the GTSF camp fee subsidy, the camping fee will be deducted from the final bill that is paid by the group at camp. No funds will be sent to the applicant or to the group.
